Taking a look back to where this began is a bit cathartic.
I was born in Birmingham, England. I've lived in California since I was 5. I currently live in Fremont, California.
I've been creative as far back as I can remember. Piano, music composition, knitting, beading, drawing, painting, scrapbooking, quilting, embroidery, the list goes on.
When I retired in 2006, I settled on beading. In 2009, my son-in-law passed away suddenly, leaving my daughter with 3 very young children. I invited her to join me with my crafting, hoping it would give her an outlet and help calm her mind. This is when we first started selling our makes.
When she went back to work, I needed something different. Enter crochet. LOVED IT!!! Still do, but after 10 years, I wanted something new.
I started dyeing yarn in my garage. Eventually, my husband had a shed built in the yard. The birth of my "Bitch Barn", where I go for me, my time, my solace, my outlet.
When I dye my yarns, I sometimes use pictures for inspiration, but sometimes I just wing it and let what I'm feeling flow into my yarn.
I hope you enjoy where my journey has brought me.
